Filter element fluid pressure

The operating fluid passes through the filter element and is thereby reliably relieved of solid particles and other fluids. By sizing a filter intelligently, pressure drop is created only as the element becomes clogged with particles, preventing premature bypass, a condition when fluid passes through unfiltered. FCP provides a wide variety of filters for air, hydraulic fluid, oil, lubricant, fuel, water, and steam filtration applications.

Return line filters are mainly used for low pressure return lines. Piggybacks can be ordered with different filter elements and can be modified with different springs, depending on the filtration and air regulating requirements.

Once the minimum fluid cleanliness level required for acceptable component life in this system is established, the next step is to quantify the current cleanliness level of the fluid. When fluid is not pumping through the filter it can be emptied in seconds exposing the filter element and the visible particles that were filtered out of the system. The bypass relief valve allows the fluid to bypassthe filter element and pass directly through theoutlet port in the event that the filter elementbecomes clogged.
